About Anthony Selmo

Anthony Selmo is a mortgage broker at EasyAs Mortgages, working out of an office on the Nepean Highway in Aspendale. He helps people buy their first home, and he helps people who have outgrown the one they are in.

First home buyers are where Anthony spends most of his time. It is the part of the process nobody explains properly. How much deposit you actually need. What lenders are really looking at when they assess you. Which grants and schemes you might be eligible for. Whether the number in your head lines up with the number a bank will approve. Anthony walks you through all of it in plain language, and he will tell you honestly if now is not the right time.

The rest of his clients are people in their thirties who bought a unit or a small first place a few years back and now need more room. A second bedroom. A backyard. Something closer to a decent school. Anthony works out what your equity is worth, whether you should sell first or buy first, and how to structure the new loan so you are not locked into something that stops working for you in two years.

He also handles refinancing, construction loans, renovations and extensions, investment purchases and land.

EasyAs Mortgages works across a full panel of banks and lenders, so you are not stuck with whatever your own bank happens to be offering that week.

Meetings happen at the Aspendale office, at your kitchen table, or over video if that is easier. Most of Anthony's clients are across Aspendale, Chelsea, Mordialloc, Edithvale, Bonbeach, Carrum, Patterson Lakes and Seaford, though he works with people right around Australia.
