About Becky Baker

Becky Baker is the founder and Mortgage Broker at Speck Finance, based in Jimboomba. She started Speck Finance in 2021 with one simple belief: everyone deserves access to a finance solution that truly fits. What began as a one-woman mission to make lending feel more human has grown into a small but dedicated team committed to honest guidance, tailored strategies, and real relationships.

Becky's journey into finance has always been about people. She built her early career in hands-on leadership roles, including managing the Jimboomba Telstra Store, where she led a high-performing team and celebrated multiple local business awards. As Treasurer for the Logan Country Chamber of Commerce, she deepened her skills in governance, budgeting, and securing grants, all while strengthening her roots in the local business community. In 2019, she stepped into mortgage broking and immediately saw the impact that ethical, client-focused lending could have on people's lives. Two years later, Speck Finance was born.

Since then, Becky has earned recognition as FBAA Finance Broker of the Year (2023), but the real reward for her is seeing clients achieve their goals, whether that's buying a first home, building wealth through investment, or simply feeling confident about their financial future.
