With two mortgages and interest rates on the rise, I was looking, around for more competitive rates. As an existing customer of both Heffernan HLS and and Aussie Home Loans (and thinking I shouldn't bother HHLS with this small matter), I thought I would go in the 'front door' as a good customer well ahead on his loans and be able to negotiate a better deal with my existing lender. Whilst the Aussie broker I initially had on the phone was very helpful and eagerly trying to win my business – the inexperience showed and I could tell by the conversation that I was about to be put through the wringer and asked to provide mountains of information to a lender that I considered already had all they needed to offer me a better rate. The call ended with making of second appointment with a specialist broker and series of emails telling me what I would be required to provide. Feeling unsatisfied and somewhat annoyed - I then backed out of the follow up meeting with the AHL broker and contacted Bernie at HHLS. Bernie was able to secure me a much better rate within 24 hours with absolutely no effort from me. Experience begets results!! What can I say but that I am very happy with that result and I wont make that same mistake again. I am looking to buy another property in the near future - and as with my previous loans - Bernie and HHLS will be my first call. Thanks again and very much appreciated.
