We initially approached Commonwealth Bank directly when looking into a home loan and were told that my husband and I would both need to take on second jobs before we could even consider being approved. It made the whole process feel overwhelming and honestly quite discouraging. A workmate recommended we speak with her broker, Carrie from Mortgage Choice, and that completely changed our experience. Carrie was incredibly clear, supportive, and realistic in explaining what was actually possible for us. She broke everything down in a way that made it easy to understand and took away so much of the stress. The funniest part — and something we didn’t expect at all — was that the best option she found for us ended up being through Commonwealth Bank anyway! The difference was that Carrie knew how to structure everything properly and advocate for us, resulting in a much more affordable and achievable outcome. We honestly couldn’t have done it without her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone feeling overwhelmed or unsure about the home loan process.

Awesome team! Hands down awesome team. Recommend the lady's there to anyone. Not afraid to answer the hard questions and bring a lot of experience to the table. This team has used the banks and know their shortcomings. After getting stuck with a bank that was so substandard, I promised I would never reward bad banking practices again. Carrie and Brittney helped me navigate my way out of the bad situation I was in so quickly it was done within 2 weeks from booking in a meeting with them to having all my funds transferred. Working with a team that knows the way the banks work under the hood is awesome. Getting down to the level of how long the round trip takes for a redraw transaction from additional funds to having the draw hitting your account is head and shoulders above the rest. Carrie and Brittney knew at every stage what the banks were doing with MY MONEY. Remember you are paying the bank to handle your money and honestly, they don't want us knowing what they do with your money as it brings bank practices to light. Having a team that is transparent and honest is a breath of fresh air. If you want a team that is honest about solutions and the capabilities of the banks this is the team you want. My requirements where slightly out of the norm for personal banking as I am very technical and require simple 2022 things like transaction notifications. Barely any bank has account notifications that actually alert you on your accounts. Carrie and Brittney didn't waste any time with banks that were not up to my needs. No time wasted with pushing a bank they would get a better kick back for that I would have to do manual account management with work arounds like to save me a few dollars. They delivered the solution from the bank that I needed. Of course, I am trying not to mention banks by name here, but I can say that only 2 banks where up to my simple expectations when it comes to functionally. Best advice I can give anyone from this experience is you get what you pay for. The bank I ended up going with is by no means the cheapest, but the functionality is above and beyond the rest. To have the ability to set and forget and have the bank do all the heavy lifting is well worth the small amount extra. That cost compared to the time it would take me to do it manually is well worth it. By no means am I plugging a bank, just ask yourself how much is your time worth management your affairs' over the tools just doing it for you. I can see how this review could back fire on the Mortgage Choice team in retaliation from the banks. What I say there is really the banks should be more transparent on how they handle our money at every step and use that as a selling point for their offerings. If you choose to go with Mortgage Choice team at Ipswich I highly doubt they will steer you wrong.
