Daryn started in the finance industry in the 90’s, working for ANZ as a senior lender.
After leaving and travelling Europe for 6 months, he had a number of roles in the industry before landing at St George Bank where he worked as senior lender, lending champion and finally as the team leader of the Broker Mortgage Services (BMS) unit. During Daryn’s five years with St George Bank, he was ranked as the number two lender in the country in terms of approved deals and won a number of awards within the bank.
Daryn was then approached by The Practice, an accounting firm in inner Melbourne, and commenced there in 2009 as the Finance Manager, heading up their finance broking team. Daryn transformed and grew the business over the next five years to a very successful division and learned a lot along the way, working closely with the firm’s large team of accountants and financial planners. Daryn regularly prepared articles for the firm’s website and wrote pieces for both SEN radio and the Living Room on channel 10. He was also a member of The Practice Wealth Management Investment committee.
In 2014, the business Trusted Finance Solutions was set up and in 2022, Daryn made it into the MPA Top 100 Brokers in Australia by settling over $140 million in residential loans for the year.
