As a first-home buyer I had no idea where to start, but he took the time to explain everything clearly and guided me through every step. As a young first home buyer it was very daunting trying to work out my finances and the process of buying a house. I had heard from friends that they had gone to Aussie Home Loans for assistance, so I booked an appointment at Aussie Woodvale with Dean. I rocked up to the first appointment to be greeted by a young man who immediately took the time to built rapport with me. Being young, Dean has also gone through the first home buying process recently, and he had lots of information to contribute. He works at a rate that I could only dream of, and within about 15 minutes he had given me so much information and I actually understood it all ahaha. Within a couple of weeks I had pre-approval from the bank and my house hunting began! I honestly put offers on at least 15 houses, and each time I did so, I would send Dean the link to the house, tell him that I put an offer on, and say “let me know if you get a call from the real estate agent, but please enjoy your weekend and don’t reply until Monday!” However, in true Dean style, he would reply on the weekend and wish me luck for the offer! He also let me know every time that a real estate agent had called him. By the time that I scored my own house I was honestly viewing Dean as more of a friend than a mortgage broker. I’ll never be able to repay Dean for the amount of house related phone calls, texts and emails that I sent him when putting offers on… I don’t know how he didn’t just block my contact ahhahahaah 😂. The day that I heard my offer was accepted on a house I let Dean know and he was honestly more excited and happy for me than my family were ahaah. He recommended a pest inspection, building inspection and settlement agent company that he had delt with, something that made the process much easier. Dean followed up with the bank so many times that my settlement was brought forward by 19 days!! Thanks Dean for pestering the bank for me ahhaaha. The day I moved in I got a text from Dean congratulating me again, and he added that he’ll always be there if I have any questions or need advice on the house. The fact that he keeps the rapport going with his customers AFTER they buy a house blows my mind, and is something that you don’t see often anymore. I actually felt a glimpse of sadness knowing that Dean and I wouldn’t be in contact for much longer now that I had a house!! Fortunately my Dad, who lives in Victoria, heard me speak so highly of Dean that he is considering using him to buy a house over East ahahhaha. Thanks for everything Dean, you’re honestly the most genuine and helpful person that I have ever delt with. Thanks for making the home buying process much easier 🙏🏻.
