Hi I’m Jon.

The reason that I got into business finance broking in the first place and still what gets me up in the morning, is the fact that small business owners find it tough to get finance.

I tried myself to get a home loan with my small business and found that most lenders thought that I was a martian. Finally, when a second tier bank said to me “We don’t understand your businesses finances, so we are just going to ignore your income and just use your wife’s PAYG.” That was a wake up call for me – it’s time to get my credentials and do it myself. In between, a wonderful broker set me on the right path and we got the house of our dreams.

However we probably lost 300-400K in purchasing power in that time of rapid house price rises – just because we didnt know what we were doing and neither did the lenders that we went to.

So I got to thinking: “how many other small business owners are out there in Australia that went to a bank to get a loan to buy their dream home, only to get shot down in flames?”

Thus as a small business finance broker, that’s my drive, my passion in finance. To help those people.

And I’m not talking out just dipping in and out of your business and lives just to get that commission, I genuinely want to help you grow your business, get you in a position to get a loan then help you to get debt free and living the sweet life as soon as possible.

I had a very successful career in corporate, at one time running the US$1/4 bn WWE licensed video game brand globally, helping take it to never before seen heights.

Then since 2008 I have been running my own small businesses, each with varying amounts of success.

So my aim is to help impart my knowledge and experience in business to help you grow – and if that includes finance, then great.

I’ll be writing all sorts of articles about business, sometimes about finance and I’m always around if you want to chat.
