For the average person, moving to a new home is one of the top 5 most stressful events you'll experience in your life; and that's before the wave of anxiety that comes when your Bank pulls out of your new home purchase because their back-end staff realise that their front-end staff had agreed to an LVR figure that runs counter to the Bank's own lending policy and you no longer have sufficient deposit to buy the home that you just committed to. When my Bank pulled out half way through my new home purchase in 2019 I needed someone who could navigate the lending market quickly and deliver a result, or I was going to be homeless and thousands of dollars out of pocket in penalties. Mortgage Choice has Brokers who routinely assess the entire lending market quickly and are capable of finding lenders who can meet specific lending needs. But in my time of crisis Joe was more than I could have hoped for - he was calm and patient - he listened and he cared. Joe's process was clear, every step was communicated and every figure was explained. Even where my own lending product requirement might have seemed extreme (I insisted on a hardware security token for electronic banking knowing not all Banks offer them), Joe took the ask in his stride and calmly met the challenge. I was so impressed with Joe and the Mortgage Choice process that, in 2025, I didn't even consult the Bank when I wanted to buy my first investment property. This time without the stress of a committed purchase time boxing the engagement, but still with challenging lending needs (buying an investment property in a mining town in another State within a target LVR), the additional value came through; Joe was able to show me the lenders whose policies aligned to my ask, so we could choose directly from the most likely lender and target a successful outcome from the get-go. The experience was excellent. Joe took the same care and consideration in my investment property transaction as he did with my home - first securing conditional approval for my own exploration, giving me the confidence to make an offer, and then unconditional approval for the property I'd decided upon in time to satisfy the finance condition in the contract. Again, every step in the process was calm, deliberate, and clearly communicated. I consider Joe to be my finance partner in my investment journey. I very much look forward to our future purchases together.
