It’s been quite the journey! I’d had about three attempts over the last couple of years to get my refinancing sorted, mainly because of my personal circumstances. Being retired and having income from sources other than a traditional employer made it difficult to find a lender, as many of the larger, more common lenders require proof of regular employment income. With a lot of persistence on my part, but more importantly a huge amount of support, patience and expertise from Larissa and her team at Mortgage Choice, we were finally able to find a lender in Great Southern Bank (GSB) that could accommodate my circumstances and get the refinancing over the line. After banking with NAB since I was a kid, I had also become increasingly dissatisfied with their service and recently decided it was time for a change. So, being able to finally break free and move across to the credit union banking system was an added bonus! I’ve been really impressed with GSB so far. Their banking app and website are very user-friendly and have some great features. Their interest rate and repayments are also considerably lower, and they offer some useful incentives to help pay the loan off sooner, while still making it relatively easy to access additional funds if needed. Throughout the entire process, Larissa and her team kept me updated almost daily on the progress of my application, which was incredibly reassuring given how complicated the process had been previously. Their communication, professionalism and genuine willingness to find a solution made a huge difference. Overall, it was an amazing result, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. A huge thank you to Larissa and the entire Mortgage Choice team for sticking with me and getting it done! I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Larissa and her incredible, friendly and highly professional team to my family and friends.
