I came across Koalify while searching and learning about different home loan options. I already had a pre approved loan with my bank, which wasn’t good enough for my needs. I was a bit skeptical at first as it wouldn’t cost me anything out of my pocket (as a fee is paid by the lender directly) yet I decided to give it a go, and used Koalify’s calculator to estimate my maximum borrowing power. Not long after Erica and Luke managed to facilitate a much better deal than the bank I’ve used all these years was able to offer. Luke helped me to navigate and understand better the complex processes to buy your first home. Worth to mention I had initially already wasted a few weeks with my bank before Koalify, so I had to act fast but Luke was timely mannered and acted accordingly. Luke was the absolute MVP of our home purchase. Buying our first home together, all of the decisions felt enormous; how to structure the mortgage, how much deposit to put down, offset vs redraw. Luke talked us through all of it properly, in plain English, until we actually felt comfortable rather than just nodding along. That alone was worth it. He was also fast when it counted. Our pre-approval came through quickly, he was incredibly responsive once we started thinking about putting offers in and talked us through our options for each property we had shortlisted. When we were successful, our final approval was turned around just as fast. He communicated with our conveyancer proactively the whole way through, which made settlement far easier than we expected it to be. You don’t need a good BANK but a good BROKER. Having approached my current bank holding my mortgage to apply for a bespoke investment loan, we got nowhere. KOALIFY to the rescue! Being frustrated with my current mortgage lender not taking into account our circumstances and huge equity available in our primary place of residence led me to google brokers.
