If you’re looking for a financial adviser who makes refinancing feel less like a root canal and more like a mildly thrilling treasure hunt, Matt from Summit Property Finance is your guy. Matt helped us secure our first mortgage, guided us through purchasing our next property with the First Home Buyers grant, and has now heroically shepherded us through refinancing three years later so we can buy a car and finally tackle some long-awaited renovations. At this point, he’s basically our unofficial Chief Life Upgrade Officer. What sets Matt apart is not just his encyclopaedic knowledge of loans, rates and all things mortgagey, but how he treats us as clients. My husband and I are always consulted equally. Every decision, every explanation, every option is directed to both of us. There’s no side-eye, no assumptions, no subtle “let’s just talk to the man of the house” energy. Just respect, clarity and partnership. It shouldn’t be remarkable in 2026…but it absolutely is. After a previous experience elsewhere that left me feeling small and dismissed, working with Matt has been the polar opposite. He is professional, approachable, and somehow available at nearly all hours without ever making you feel like a nuisance (yes, we've even had responses at 10pm). Questions are welcomed. Confusion is calmly untangled. Panic is gently downgraded to “we’ve got this.” If you want someone who knows their craft, treats you like an equal human, and makes the labyrinth of finance feel navigable, Matt is your person.
