Lodging an official complaint with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. When it comes to Boss Money - don’t walk away, run! Our experience was somewhat different to other reviews and we’re yet to receive an explanation why. These are the things I expect from a professional, competent broker. 1. Ensure the loan is structured as per instructions from the client (whether it be conveyed verbally or via email – or in our case, both) and documents are issued correctly to reflect this. 2. When deadlines need to be met and you have stuffed up, do whatever it takes including bend over backwards to help rectify the situation. Help to get documents sorted (bring documents to clients, offer to drop off and collect, see clients at work or at their home including after hours if needed) rather than just forwarding emails from the lender and offering no support or assistance. 3. Check and ensure interest rates are correct before issuing clients with loan documents to sign. 4. When interest rates have changed from what was originally presented to clients, provide an explanation for the change PRIOR to the client querying the discrepancy. 5. Return phone calls promptly, ideally before COB of the same business day or at the latest the next day. 6. If a client requests a phone call or text message, don’t ignore their wishes and continue to only communicate via email, especially when time is critical. Unfortunately, these are what we did not receive from Tom Uhlich. I know banks suck. I know people make mistakes, and I know the lending environment is crazy right now. If Tom bothered to pick up even one of our calls or give us a ring at any point in the past 3 weeks this review may have been different. He is clearly a smooth talker, but our experience suggests someone who lacks either the time or inclination to provide a personal and professional service. We would have settled for simple competence but when he emails loan documents to sign on two separate occasions with incorrect interest rates with no explanation, and structures a loan incorrectly resulting in failed settlement, it’s evident that even that is too much to ask. Edit: Wow. After receiving the threat of legal action for posting this review we are just gobsmacked. It makes me wonder if this could explain the lack of negative reviews for Boss Money? Everything we have said is 100% true, 100% based on our experience and can be verified. My husband and I are happy to explain it in detail in the courtroom if necessary. Tom, perhaps instead of accusing others of being childish, why don't you take on board valid criticism which has been clearly articulated. Instead you whine, make excuses and try to intimidate people with legal posturing. I know which one is childish behaviour. Congratulations on convincing us to take the matter to AFCA.
