We are a small development company who approached Wafa for a second mortgage secured against my home. We paid her a $5500 as a Mandate Fee. She failed to provide us with a Loan Offer but still unlawfully placed a caveat on my home claiming a $37,000 Establishment Fee for a loan she never provided. She never advised us of the caveat which triggered a default with the funder we went with. This allowed them to charge a much higher interest rate resulting in an additional cost of funds to me of $260,000. I am chasing her legally for recompence.
