About Mark Edlund

Mark Edlund founded Clarity Home Loans in 2006 with the goal of transforming the mortgage broking industry. With a financial services career dating back to 1998, his expertise spans all areas of property finance. Mark's client-first approach has helped Clarity grow into a trusted mortgage firm not only in Canberra but nationwide.

Recognised as a pioneer of the salaried broker model, Mark Edlund has removed the focus on commissions, paying brokers a salary for their professionalism and eliminating potential conflicts linked to lender commissions. This approach has set Clarity apart, enhancing its reputation for transparency and integrity.

Mark holds qualifications in financial planning and mortgage broking, including a Certificate IV in Financial Services – Mortgage Broking and a Diploma of Financial Services – Financial Planning. He also completed five years of study at Harvard Business School, focusing on entrepreneurship, business strategy, and sales strategy.
